Getting started with ProctorU is easy. Just follow these steps:

1. Need a webcam? ProctorU recommends the Microsoft Lifecam VX1000 (or models higher than the VX1000). You can purchase it directly from CDW (click here).
   
   This camera, or acceptable alternatives are also available at Office Depot, OfficeMax, Best Buy, Walmart, and Target.
   
   
2. Check the technical specifications to make sure your computer and web cam meet the requirements.
   
   
3. If you are a PC User:

   Download the proctorU software here. Remember where you save file, as you will need to access it later.
   
   If you are a MAC User:
   
   Download nothing. Be sure to tell your proctor at the time of the exam that you are a MAC user.

4. Schedule an exam by visiting http://www.proctoru.com/schedule , creating an account (be sure to provide a valid email address, and a phone number that you can be reached at when you are taking an exam).
   
   
5. At the time of your exam, please return to proctoru.com/schedule and click on the blinking button, asking you to "click here to start".
